I opened a bottle of your Petit Chateau last night (saturday) had a glass. It was delicious. The next night I had another glass and it was even better. On friday, thinking the bottle wouldn’t have been good, I tried one last glass. It was different but still really good. That wine has great structure. wow!
I just wanted to follow up with you and let you know that I really enjoyed working with you and your team. Everyone was so accommodating and the event was beyond everyone’s expectations.
Thank you for a wonderful day at your winery. We all had a great time and agreed it’s the best winery event we have had in the 12 years we have been having it. The staff was great and all enjoyed the walking tour through the vineyards.
We appreciate you opening up your winery to us.
Sincerely,
Frank
“I had friends attending the David Amram, Jazz on the Vine concert last weekend and the feedback is worth your while hearing. They raved about the beautiful setting and cheese plates and wine, as well as the music. The atmosphere created was remarkable. I’m sure they are right! You do a wonderful thing with the resources you have been blessed with.”
We decided to open your wine almost five years to the date from when purchased. We bought it during our 30th Anniversary weekend, which was spent on the North Fork touring wonderful places like yours. So we decided that our 35th (Nov 8) was a perfect time. It was, with no question, the finest wine we’ve ever tasted coming out of this area or New York State . Full bodied, smooth, a pleasure to look at, smell and yes…. taste. You should be very proud of your creation. Thanks for the enjoyment.
“Thanks – the wine came. We had it on Saturday – I made a lobster pasta with a sherry sauce (NYTimes recipe). I was concerned the sherry sauce might overwhelm the wine. It didn’t – the wine had plenty of acidity and depth to accompany the meat. The wine was very Mersault like- quite nice – one of the best Chards I’ve had from Long Island. Keep up the good work and again thanks. I’ll be sure to stop by and stock up.”
I am writing you today because my husband Jesse brought home Castello di Borghese’s Cabernet Franc after his visit to your winery. We enjoyed your wine with a beautiful Italian dinner and were enchanted. Your Cabernet Franc is one of the best domestic wines I’ve had of that varietal. We know that your Cabernet Franc will complement and appease our customers as well as most Rhode Island wine drinker’s palates. It has a balance of fruit and structure that I found to be friendly with or without food.Last year we visited your winery and brought home your late harvest Chardonnay which we found to be fresh, hearty and delightful. I am a fan of late harvest wines. However, I was pleasantly surprised to experience the bright burst on my palate that your Chardonnay offers from a north east winery. Needless to say, we have become fans of your wines and would like the opportunity to make our customers fall in love as well.

“Just finished my last bottle of your wonderful Sauvignon Blanc, which is unlike any Sauv Blanc or any wine I’ve ever tasted. Talk about terroir! It is truly impressive to find an East Coast winery that does so much so well. I hope to visit you again soon in the next decade, with a lot more room in the trunk! Thanks again for your generous hospitality and for such great wine.”

“My wife and I were able to visit your vineyards this past summer when we traveled to Long Island. We have been enjoying your wines all along but when we served the Reisling and Cabernet Franc this Thanksgiving, wow is what we heard from our guests. Long Island, they said, no way. This has to be European wine. Needless to say, we can’t wait to come visit again and get another case.”

“Good morning. Last week, I bought some rose’ from two lovely ladies at the Rockefeller Center market. I can honestly say it was the best rose’ I have ever had, and I’ve been through a bunch, including the bandols. I can certainly buy it on line, and I will. Thanks for introducing me to something wonderful. I should have bought more than the two bottles.”

“Dear Borghese Vineyard Staff, Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! From the sunflowers, to the votives, to the perfect moon…our event surpassed our wildest dreams! Your thoughtfulness and attention to detail were above and beyond…and your wines would turn a nondrinker into a wine lover! When we arrange another event, Castello di Borghese will be our first choice. Thank you again, for making the Captains and Mates Yacht Club event their BEST ever!”
