Harvested two weeks earlier than Merlot for the red wine program with a higher acidity and lower sugar content, the grapes for this wine were whole cluster pressed for a more delicate extraction of juice. Our in-house artist Mary Twomey designed the label in her unique and creative style (prints of the artwork are available). We are calling the White Merlot "Legacy" to celebrate 25 years of Borghese Vineyard ownership with second-generation Giovanni Borghese at the helm. -
Last created in 2014, this blend is 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon and 10% Chardonnay and made almost wholly from the founding block of vines on Long Island.After 50 years, they are still producing bright and complex wines.On the nose, bright, juicy notes of pear & honeysuckle leading to a well-balanced and dry palate with flavors of honeydew & kiwi, leading to a lingering finish. -
